Hiking with Comfort

New Zealand is a real paradise for hikers – a beautiful landscape, well-maintained paths, a perfectly working network of cottages where a hiker can stay overnight. A proper hike takes several days; you must carry everything with yourself – clothes, a sleeping bag, a portable stove, sometimes a tent, too, and mainly large supplies of food. That is quite a heavy load, which discourages many people, and such a hike will put a proper strain on your body. Nowadays, it is possible to hike in a more comfortable manner – if you go along the coast, then a ship will take your luggage to the place where you stay overnight; or a helicopter does this job in the mountains. Or there is another alternative of a comfortable overnight stay – you can find splendidly furnished cottages along some routes. After toiling all day, wading through water, treading muddy paths, negotiating rocky basins of dried-up streams, you can enjoy the comfort of such a cottage, including a dinner prepared by a cook, a hot shower and a bed with a blanket; during the trip, you only carry your clothes, a camera and nice experiences. The Milford and Routeburn Tracks are among the best-known hikes, where such services can be used, but more similar offers can be found. Some are absolutely unique – they offer a visit to places where an ordinary hiker can never get because they extend across large private plots of land.
The comfortable version of a hike is also an ideal (and often the only) solution for children, clients with any health limitation or for persons of "advanced" age.
If you are interested in a hike of this type, we will gladly recommend you the current offers; we will include them in your itinerary after consultation and we will help with the booking.
