Mr & Mrs Tuma - a Tailor-Made Guided Tour

During February 2007, Mr. Tuma and Mrs. Tumová with their friends visited our parts of the world in New Zealand. It was a 17-day tour around both islands, completely tailored to the requirements and wishes of the group; Martin was the guide.

"Travelling is our passion; we have been almost everywhere in the world except for New Zealand. Long ago, in those times when we could travel to Mácha Lake in North Bohemia at the most, I saw a short film about New Zealand, instead of the usual weekly news programme, in cinema in 1981. I was enchanted and ever since then I had a dream of going there one day. In 2004 I started seriously considering this and persuading my wife about where we should travel. We looked for travel inspiration in various sources ranging from the Spectrum TV schedule magazine to National Geographic, Cocktail and People and Earth magazine, etc. Recently, the discussion was only about how and with whom we should set off there. There are many possible solutions. One is in the "easy rider" style, which means that you individually set off on a trip, having familiarised yourselves with the location by using various travel guides and Internet information. Upon arrival, you rent a car and according to the chosen itinerary you try to see virtually everything that you find interesting. In 2001, I tramped like this with a friend of mine around South Africa; I was the driver; we covered 5,500 km and we wanted to see as many sights as possible. It was interesting but... Another option is a conventional travel agency where you can buy a tour from a catalogue in our country or somewhere else (Germany) and you set off on a trip with a group of people of various natures and you spend 3 weeks travelling with them. And then there is the possibility that you can prepare a programme with New Zealand specialists such as True Travel Ltd. and you agree on a trip with the assistance of a representative of the travel agency who will be your guide throughout the tour. We chose this option; Vladka Slívová prepared a programme for us and Martin Slíva was attending to us for 3 weeks and showed us everything that is worth seeing in New Zealand. We got to places to which conventional travel agencies do not take people and which even the available travel guide books will not tell you about. In addition to that, Martin Slíva was also our driver who simply knows what to do and how to do it thanks to his long-term stay in New Zealand. We recommend this, it was perfect!"
