The company True Travel Ltd. is a New Zealand inbound travel agency which with its establishment in February 2006 continues our long-term activities in the field of tourism in New Zealand. As professionals, we have been dealing with this country already since the year of 2001, we have been living in New Zealand since 2004 and we are New Zealand residents. Our „base“ is in the centre of NZ tourism – in the mountain town Queenstown we have within reach many key natural attractions which we often visit ourselves, we intensively travel through both islands of New Zealand so as we could still discover new possibilities of this astonishing country.

Thanks to our personal knowledge of most of the places and everyday solving of your requirements, we can give you advice reliably and prepare a vacation of your dreams, a long-term study stay or effectively plan your business trip. We have a lot of experience behind us, both travelling itself and implementation of tours and preparation of tailor-made services for individual clients, sport teams or customers of travel agencies. • As Czech employees in tourism specializing in NZ. We both specialised in NZ already in the Czech republic. Already in that time we tried to fill the commonly known information vacuum in the relation to NZ on the field of Czech travel agencies with our experience and knowledge.

• As New Zealand personnel in the tourist trade. We decided to work in New Zealand mainly because of the possibility of drawing experience right by the source. We still keep on deepening our knowledge – both from the aspect of a tourist and a provider of tourist services.

• As tour guides. This year we completed another successful marketing year tourguiding in New Zealand on behalf of Czech travel agencies and in the service of individual travellers. In the section References it is possible to see how the tours looked like.

• As authors of articles about NZ. We are interested in the country comprehensively of which our travel and thematic papers published in Czech media or annual holding of lectures and forums show evidence.

• We know temper and interests of our people. We can put ourselves in the place of the needs of countrymen, we offer a personal approach. A New Zealander can guess the needs of a Japanese or an American tourist (who he deals every day with) but he can hardly empathize with your needs – he often guesses whether  the Czech Republic is a part of Russia or former Yugoslavia.

• We offer personally proven services. Tourism industry has become number one in NZ. Many services and attractions have become a part of mighty machinery of industry, they have lost their atmosphere. Their successfulness is calculated according to rate of serving hundreds of customers who were “massaged“ enough by a huge advertising campaign. We do not offer these services, apart from exceptions! She has completed tertiary degree in Tourism at College of Travel, Hotel & Spa Management in Prague, changed several jobs and worked for Student Agency as a specialist in language stays in New Zealand and Australia for two years. In the meantime she travelled through Europe and for nearly a year she nipped down to New Zealand in order to study and wander intensively. She climbs mountains, skies, trains horse riding, dives, plays the guitar, practices yoga and discovers the secrets of Zen. She exchange the hometown of Karlovy Vary just for New Zealand where she has been living since 2004 and which she has chosen as her temporary home for the following years. She is an active tour guide, a photographer, she lectures, organizes exhibitions, publishes articles not only about the Pacific and the Czech Republic, is a supporter of systematicness with attitude to details. She is a member of NZ Alpine Club and Southern Tramping Club, at the moment she is taking a self-empirical program for outdoor instructors in The New Zealand Mountain Safety Centre. A patriot of Karlovy Vary, an admirer of Czech singer Jarek Nohavica, addicted to japanese sushi.

Martin Sliva

After a couple of years working in the sphere of trade, he deserted to travelling within Israel and Palestine in 2000, where he tried his guiding skills for the first time. The following year he dedicated to travelling within New Zealand where he fell in love with tramping in New Zealand pristine nature. In 2002 while back in Czech Republic he launched the first Czech info website dedicated to New Zealand. At the same time he could see the big opportunity in tourism and raising interest of Czech people to visit New Zealand. Luckily he got the only job of a New Zealand specialist available at that time in the whole country. In 2002 he introduced his travelling exhibition of New Zealand (2002-2008) which featured over 100 of his photos and old Maori exhibits from Naprstkovo museum (Some of them  were brought to the Czech Republic by Bohumir Gottfried Lindauer, famous New Zealand artist born in Czech Republic). When he met Vladka they both could see the opportunity to fill the gap in the market and decided to move to New Zealand to join forces and establish a travel agency. Meanwhile in 2003 he accomplished his first commercial trip to New Zealand.

He has been living in New Zealand since 2004, fully devoted to developing the travel agency and its concept, which later became known as True Travel jointly run by him and Vladka. He is enthusiastic about getting to know all features of New Zealand and to offer the best experience to their clients, devoted tour organizer and guide and photographer (his photos has been exhibited and sold in the Czech Republic, Israel and New Zealand). In his free time he is helping as a volunteer in conservation projects within Fiordland, relaxes over the photos or while cycling or kayaking, he writes articles about New Zealand history, nature, people... An optimist, fan of Jára Cimrman, a member of  Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society of New Zealand, a promoter of good things.

He enjoys the mountains and forests - especially Fiordland, Glenorchy where he used to live, West Coast and Marlborough Sounds in the South Island of New Zealand belong to his favourite places. The ease of nature "recharges his batteries".
